I hope your summer was refreshing. Yes, bad new,s it’s over already. Although the fall is beautiful and it’s nice to be outside, I never like what comes after. Yes that’s right, THE WHITE STUFF! In Indonesia is it 86 degrees from now until the Lord returns. It also comes complete with typhoons, earth quakes, and volcanoes. All places have things to deal with.
Well, things are good. We continue to visit churches and meet with people (if you want to get together call me 474-1264). This fall is going to get extremely busy. Carol is starting to teach at URI. I have services on Sunday mornings, evenings, Wednesday nights and all in between. Pray that believer’s hearts will touched for Indonesia.
Renee is starting her senior year and visiting colleges from Boston to Florida. Rachel is in China till December. This is our first taste of a long distance relationship with our children. Thank God for Skype! It’s allowed us to see Rachel which helps the hurt of being so far away. It doesn’t help the “fatherly worry” and the “motherly touch.” So please pray for us. One thing I am realizing about missionary work is the absolute need for prayer. From the enormous challenge we face, to the emotional pressure of leaving home and learning a new culture, only a deep prayerful relationship with the Lord will see us through.
That’s all for now!!
Many Blessings,
Donald & Carol
